Our Sleep Philosophy
It's not cry-it-out AND it's effective.
There is a large stigma behind "sleep training" and we are here to redefine what that can look like. With an infant developmentally sensitive and science-led approach, sleep guidance can be gentle, it can support breastfeeding, it can protect parent/child bonding, and it can be beneficial to everyone.
Studies show that the average parent gets 5 hours of sleep a night for the first months of a new baby's life. Studies also show that, from birth, parents can introduce gentle sleep hygiene practices into both their life and their baby's life that help drastically improve infant sleep quality and quantity. Studies further support the fact that from 16 weeks onwards, babies are producing their own melatonin and can advance into further sleep-assisting habits.
Another study (can you tell we love research?) states thatthese infant sleep hygiene practices also improve infant brain development and decrease maternal postpartum depression rates.
It's just another reason why we are in love with the Hush Baby Sleep Program here at Birth Halo.

Meet Cassidy
Cassidy is a children’s sleep coach who helps families raise happier and healthier children by guiding them to better sleep practices. Her interest in children’s sleep and development began during her years at the University of Utah where she studied Health Education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. A mother of three—including twin girls—she has drawn on her years of research in this area not only in shaping healthier sleep outcomes in her own family, but also, beginning in 2014, in the families of her own clients. Due to the tremendous success of her method, her business has grown organically throughout the years—mainly through word-of-mouth recommendations—which has afforded her the opportunity to help families throughout the country achieve healthy and happier sleep for their children.
